After teaching and extensive management experience mainly in independent schools, Jill joined Ofsted in the independent division. She has subsequently worked as an Associate Inspector for the Ofsted inspection providers, gaining a wealth of experience in inspecting all types of independent schools in a wide age range.

Jill has carried out inspections in Early Years Foundation Stage, foreign, faith, special needs and all age schools for all types of inspection. She has also inspected as an ISI reporting inspector in a wide range of association schools.

As an inspector, Jill found that schools were finding it increasingly difficult to keep up to date with the independent school standards and the frequent changes from Ofsted. As a consultant, she is able to use her expertise to assist schools in complying with the standards and ensuring that they evidence them to show the school’s strengths.
